About the Artist: Please visit all the Heir Bears who came to this special event just to meet you! I am Jane Woodard and I have been creating real fur bears, using recycled furs, since 1999. My fur bears are heirloom quality, fully lined with a cotton fabric to stabilize and reinforce the fur. They are created to ensure you can pass them on to your children and grandchildren. Recently I have added a few mohair and faux fur creations to the den.

I have been featured in articles in Teddy Bear Review (including on the cover) and Teddy Bear and Friends magazines. And I am a 2014 winner of the highly coveted URSA Award for two of my bears!

"PUMPKIN"

"Pumpkin" is a One-of-a-Kind 15" bear created from light tan mohair. She is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill. She has matching tan suede paw pads, imported black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered black Perle cotton nose.

"Pumpkin" wears a handknit orange pumpkin outfit complete with a little cap. The cap has a green knit "stem" on the top and there is green trim around the top of the outfit. She carries her own little Halloween pumpkin and also brings the painted wooden pumpkin you see behind her.

"Pumpkin" comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"SABRINA"

"Sabrina" is a 13" bear created from dark honey-colored mohair. She is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. She has black suede paw pads and inner ears, imported black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered black Perle cotton nose.

"Sabrina" wears a black ribbon tied in a bow around her neck, and a black felt witch's hat adorned with some "magic crystals" and black gauze. She does not look too scary, so she must be one of the good witches. Her broom is in the shop for servicing and she hopes it will be ready for her to use by Halloween!

"Sabrina" comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"LIZZY"

"Lizzy" is an 11" bear created from a very soft recycled creamy mink fur coat. The fur has a few accents of very pale brown shading throughout. She is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. She has light tan suede paw pads, imported tinted glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered light brown Perle cotton nose.

"Lizzy" wears an organza flowery ruff around her neck which can be easily removed if you want to put a Christmas ribbon on her in December.

"Lizzy" comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"LEON the LION"

"Leon" is a 12" lion created from a recycled autumn haze mink fur coat. The fur has many small pieces of short-haired mink fur sewn together for a textured appearance. He is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. He has dark beige suede paw pads, olive glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose. His mane and tail tip are coyote fur.

"Leon" has a few horsehair whiskers. He is designed to sit while he rules the den, but he is really quite harmless. He has become very good friends with all the bears here.

"Leon" comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag.

"MAX the MOUSE"

"Max" is a 12" mouse, not including the ears, created from a recycled light gray mink fur coat. He is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. He has matching gray suede paw pads, pimk suede inner ears, a gray suede tail, black glass eyes, and a shiny glazed hand-embroidered pink Perle cotton nose. He also has a few horsehair whiskers.

"Max" wears an old-fashioned pink and black checkered ribbon tied in a bow around his neck. He comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag.

"GINGERBREAD"

"Gingerbread" is a 16" bear created from a very luxurious, soft, recycled red fox fur coat. Her fur reminds me of gingerbread fresh from the oven! She is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. She has light rust-colored suede paw pads, imported amber glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose.

"Gingerbread" wears only a hand-dyed multi-colored silk ribbon around her neck.

"Gingerbread" comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag.

"INDIE"

"Indie" is an 11" bear created from a recycled tan curly lamb fur jacket. This fur is wavy with some short curls that all go in different random directions. He is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. He has tan suede paw pads, black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered black Perle cotton nose.

"Indie" wears a red suede vest with a "vintage" political button to fasten it in front. He also wears an old-fashioned handmade cotton fabric newspaper print triangle hat. He is a registered "Independent" and can't wait to get to the ballot box to vote for his favorite candidate. I have NO idea who that is going to be!

"Indie" comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"CHARLIE"

"Charlie" is an 18" bear created from a recycled Tanuki raccoon fur coat. This fur is natural gold and honey colored. He is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. He has light gold suede paw pads, imported green-tinted glass eyes with black pupils, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose.

"Charlie" wears a vintage white cotton baby's shirt and Osh Kosh blue denim bibbed overalls. He brings his dog, "Ruff," because they go everywhere together. ("Ruff" is a vintage stuffed toy with glass eyes.)

"Charlie" comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.
