Welcome to Bright Star's "Fall Stars" Teddy Bear Artist Online Show!

Please visit all the Heir Bears who came to this special event just to meet you! I am Jane Woodard and I have been creating real fur bears and other critters, using recycled furs, since 1999. My fur bears are heirloom quality, fully lined with a cotton fabric to stabilize and reinforce the fur. They are created to ensure you can pass them on to your children and grandchildren. You might also find a few mohair and faux fur creations which have been added to the den.

I have been featured in articles in Teddy Bear Review (including on the cover) Teddy Bear and Friends, Teddy Bear Times, and most recently the March 2022 issue of Teddy Bear Times and Friends magazines. Severa1 of my bears have been the proud winners of the URSA Awards in 2016 and 2020.

"CRYSTAL"

"Crystal" is a 16" bear created from a recycled Norwegian Blue Fox fur jacket. Fox fur coats are some of the most expensive fur coats and this one was quite unique. The fur was cut into squares, and then alternated with leather squares, to create a subtle checkerboard effect.

"Crystal" is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. She has dark brown suede paw pads, glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose. She wears a multi-textured ribbon trim around her neck.

"Crystal" has a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"ACORN"

"Acorn" is 15" tall and was created from a brown curly lamb fur coat. The inset and inner ears are a contrasting light tan curly mohair fabric. He is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. He has dark brown suede paw pads, black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose.

"Acorn" is wearing a multi-textured ribbon trim around his neck and carries a large acorn with him.

"Acorn" has a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"STELLA"

"Stella" is 15" tall and was created from a very soft sable fur coat. Sable is one of the most luscious furs you can find. She is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. She has brown suede paw pads, black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose.

"Stella" is wearing a sparkly orange ribbon tied in a bow around her neck. She brings with her some autumn leaves.

"Stella" has a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"HOCUS POCUS"

"Hocus Pocus" is one-of-a-kind and 15" tall. She was created from a recycled fur coat. She is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. She has black suede paw pads, black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered black Perle cotton nose.

"Hocus Pocus " is wearing a black ribbon bow around her neck, a handmade witch's hat, and she carries a handmade cotton fabric pumpkin.

"Hocus Pocus" has a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"BUCKLEY"

"Buckley" is a one-of-a-kind 18" tall bear, created from a recycled raccoon fur coat. He is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. He has brown suede paw pads, black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered Perle cotton nose.

"Buckley" is wearing a child-sized Navy outfit that is white cotton trimmed with navy blue sleeve stripes and collar.

"Buckley" has a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"CASEY"

"Casey" is 15" tall and was created from a very soft recycled black and plum rabbit fur coat. The furrier added the plum-colored accents randomly throughout the fur. She is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. She has plum-colored suede paw pads, black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered plum-colored Perle cotton nose.

"Casey" is wearing a handmade cotton print brimmed hat with a plum-colored ribbon that ties in a bow around her neck.

"Casey" has a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"ATHENA"

"Athena" is approximately 18" tall because of her long legs, but she sits 12" high. She was created from a vintage animal print velvet-like fabric. She is one-of-a-kind. She is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. She has tan suede paw pads, black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered black Perle cotton nose.

"Athena" is wearing black ostrich feathers around her neck, and a handmade black velvet brimmed hat tied with a black ribbon around her neck.

"Athena" has a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"HUNTER"

"Hunter" is a 14" tall lion, created from a caramel colored sheared mink fur coat and white Mongolian lamb fur for his mane and tail. He is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill. He has dark glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose. He has a few long horsehair whiskers.

"Hunter" brings some colorful autumn leaves and tiny pumpkins with him.

"Hunter" has a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag

"MISTY"

"Misty" is a one-of-a-kind 15" panda bear created from two VERY SOFT sheared beaver fur coats, one a milk chocolate color and the other a French vanilla cream color. She is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill. She has black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose.

"Misty" wears a Chinese coin around her neck and carries some bamboo leaves for snacking. She also brings a vintage wooden abacus with her in case you need to track your expenses or count the bears in your den!

"TEX"

"Tex" is 15" tall and was created from blue denim fabric. He is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. He has reverse denim fabric paw pads, black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered navy blue Perle cotton nose.

"Tex" is wearing a red print cotton neckerchief tied around his neck, his cowboy hat and rope lasso. He brings his favorite steed with him, a vintage wooden horse on wheels.

"Tex" has a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.
