Welcome to Bright Star's "Holiday Stars" Teddy Bear Artist Online Show!

Please visit all the Heir Bears who came to this special event just to meet you! I am Jane Woodard and I have been creating real fur bears and other critters, using recycled furs, since 1999. My fur bears are heirloom quality, fully lined with a cotton fabric to stabilize and reinforce the fur. They are created to ensure you can pass them on to your children and grandchildren. You might also find a few mohair and faux fur creations which have been added to the den.

I have been featured in articles in Teddy Bear Review (including on the cover) Teddy Bear and Friends, Teddy Bear Times, and most recently the March 2022 issue of Teddy Bear Times and Friends magazines. Severa1 of my bears have been the proud winners of the URSA Awards in 2016 and 2020.

"SOUTHERN SANTA"

"Southern Santa" is 15" tall and was created from a recycled autumn haze mink fur coat. His beard is white Mongolian lamb fur. He has tan suede paw pads, dark glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose. He is 5-way jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill.

"Southern Santa" loves visiting Florida because he can get away from all the cold and snow at the North Pole and relax on the beach for a while before the big holiday! He wears a handmade cotton flamingo shirt so he blends in with the native Floridians. The red flannel hat trimmed in fox fur gives him away though. He brings a special gift with him, a unique hand-painted sand dollar!

"SAMSON the Lion"

"Samson" is a one-of-a-kind 16" lion created from a recycled light brown sheared mink fur coat. He has off-white Mongolian lamb fur with some brown highlights for his wild mane and tail tip. He is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill. He has tan suede paw and foot pads, imported olive glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose.

If you look closely, you can even see a few of "Samson's" horsehair whiskers. He comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag.

"SNOW-BEAR"

"Snow-Bear" is 9" tall and was created from a recycled mink fur coat. He has black shoebutton eyes, and a hand-embroidered black Perle cotton nose. His head and arms are jointed and he is stuffed with polyester fiberfill. He comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag.

"Snow-Bear" wears a flannel scarf around his neck and a black felt tophat. He sits on a cotton pillow that features scenes of the Campbell Soup Kids playing in the snow. His big black buttons are from a vintage fur coat. He hopes it stays cold for many months!

"COOPER"

"Cooper" is 15" tall and was created from a very soft recycled black and plum rabbit fur coat. The furrier added the plum-colored accents randomly throughout the fur. He is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. He has plum-colored suede paw pads, black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered plum-colored Perle cotton nose.

"Cooper" is wearing a simple plum-colored ribbon tied in a bow around his neck.

"Cooper" has a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"CRIMSON"

"Crimson" is 15" tall and was created from a recycled dyed nutria fur coat. The fur is red with a hint of orange in the guardhairs. This is a very unique fur, soft to the touch and dense. He is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill. He has matching deep red suede paw pads, black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered black Perle cotton nose.

"Crimson" is wearing a vintage little boy's shirt with one of his favorite pins on it, claiming to have been a good boy this year for Santa. He brings a big red apple for snacking in the afternoon after playtime.

"GERTIE the Elephant"

"Gertie" is 10" high when seated, and was created from a recycled textured gray mink fur coat. She is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill. She has dark gray paw pads and matching inner ears, and black shoebutton eyes.

"Gertie" is wearing a green, gold and orange ruff around her neck. She brings her favorite vintage pull toy with her.

"Gertie" has a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag.

"BLUEBERRIES & CREAM"

"Blueberries & Cream" is one-of-a-kind and was created from a recycled navy blue sheared beaver fur coat and a recycled off-white sheared beaver fur coat. This sheared beaver fur is very soft and luxurious. She has dark blue glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered dark blue Perle cotton nose. She is 15" tall, Her paw pads are matching blue suede.

"Blueberries & Cream" is 5-way jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. She wears a patriotic red, white and blue ribbon around her neck. She comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

Returns & Refunds: Returns must be made within three days using the same manner of shipping, including insurance. Bear must be returned in same condition.
