"PATSY"

"Patsy" is a mohair bear designed and sewn by fellow artist, Cathy Swieckowski.  Cathy passed away two years ago before she could finish it.  I recently met Cathy's husband and I promised him I would finish several of the bears Cathy started and left behind.

"Patsy" is 10" tall, made from a cinnamon brown sparse mohair fabric.  She is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  She has matching brown suedecloth paw pads, vintage black shoebutton eyes, and a hand-embroidered dark brown Perle cotton nose. 

Cathy liked to use vintage accessories with her bears, so "Patsy" wears a vintage cream-colored silky ribbon tied in a bow around her neck.  She comes with a removable hang tag.

"Cooper" is a 15" bear created from a recycled very unusual multi-colored mink fur coat.  He is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  He has dark mahogany brown suede paw pads, imported black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered dark brown Perle cotton nose. 

"Cooper" has a chocolate brown mink muzzle and light mink cheek insets.  He wears a striped ribbon that matches all  the different shades of mink, tied in a bow around his neck. 

No, this is not Einstein, but he does have some wild looking hair! 

"Gabby" is a 12" lion created from a purple short-pile mohair fabric and pale lavender Mongolian lamb fur for his mane.  He is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  He has matching purple suede paw pads, imported mauve glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered lavender Perle cotton nose.   His tail has the same lavender Mongolian lamb fur on its tip.  If you look closely, you can even see a few of his horsehair whiskers. 

"Gingersnap" is an 18" bear created from a recycled light golden brown Tanuki raccoon fur coat.  She is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  She has matching light cinnamon suede paw pads, imported green glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose. 

"Gingersnap"  wears only a dark green ribbon tied in a bow around her neck.  She is very proud of her fur and doesn't like to cover it up, but she is always willing to change her bow to match the seasons or her mood.  A typical female bear!

"Randy" is an 18" bear created from a recycled brown rabbit fur coat.  He is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  He has light tan suede paw pads, imported dark amber glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose.  His fur has some natural light tan shading running through it. 

"Randy" wears a beautiful multi-colored ribbon bow that changes shades slightly according to the light.   

"Mort" the mouse was created from a recycled pale gray mink fur coat.  He is approximately 13" tall.  He has darker gray suede paw pads, vintage black shoebutton eyes, and a hand-embroidered pink Perle cotton nose.  His long mouse tail is also gray suede, just like the insides of his big mouse ears. He even has a few horsehair whiskers. 

Baseball season is almost over and "Buddy" thinks his team is going to be playing in the World Series!  He started as a young cub playing sandlot baseball and now he's in the big leagues.  He's ready to hit the winning home run!

"Buddy" is a 15" dark royal blue faux fur (tissavel) bear. He is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  He has white velour-like paw pads, imported dark blue glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered dark blue Perle cotton nose. 

"Buddy" wears a dark blue and white striped cotton T-shirt and a blue and red baseball cap.  He carries his baseball bat and baseball so he can practice before the next big game. 

"Dillon" is a 16" bear created from a recycled brown curly lamb fur coat.  He is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  He has dark brown suede paw pads, imported dark amber glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose. 

"Dillon" has a light tan muzzle inset that matches his inner ears.  He wears only a tan and beige string ruff around his neck. 

"Dillon" comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag. 

"Wilbur" is a 23" bear created from a recycled long-haired beaver fur coat.  He is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  He is a hefty bear! 

"Wilbur" has brown leather paw pads, imported dark amber glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose. 

"Wilbur" wears an aviator's flight jacket and vintage glass aviator goggles.  He carries a red wooden plane, a replica from days gone by. 

"Wilbur" comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag.
