Please visit all the Heir Bears who came to this event just to meet you!  Some of them will be dressed up in their favorite outfit, and some of them will just be themselves, with no frills, but ready to enjoy the party.

About the Artist:  I am Jane Woodard and I have been creating real fur bears and other critters, using recycled furs, since 1999.  My fur bears are heirloom quality, fully lined with a cotton fabric to stabilize and reinforce the fur.  They are created to ensure you can pass them on to your children and grandchildren.  Recently I have added some faux fur and mohair bears and other critters to the den and they are all getting along just fine!

Over the past 20 years, my bears have been featured in articles in Teddy Bear Review (including the cover), Teddy Bear and Friends, Teddy Bear Times and Teddy Bear Times & Friends magazines.  My bears have also been the proud winners of several URSA awards.

Please visit my website for more information about Heir Bears.

"CRISTINA"

"Cristina" is a 16" bear created from a recycled Norwegian Blue Fox fur jacket.  Fox fur coats are some of the most expensive fur coats and this one was quite unique.  The fur was cut into squares that were then alternated with leather squares to create a subtle checkerboard effect.

"Cristina" is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  She has dark brown suede paw pads, glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose.  She wears a multi-textured ribbon trim around her neck.

"Cristina" has a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"WILEY"

"Wiley" is 20" tall and was created from a recycled coyote fur coat.  He is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  He has suede paw pads, black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose.

"Wiley" is wearing a brown & tan ribbon around his neck.  He has a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"ZEPHYR"

Did you know that "Zephyr" means gentle breeze in Greek mythology?  This is a very gentle lion who almost never roars!

"Zephyr"
is a one-of-a-kind 14" tall lion, created from blue mohair and dyed Mongolian lamb fur for the mane to match.  The Mongolian lamb fur has specks of red and black toward the curly tips throughout, creating a very unique look.  He is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  He has dark glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered Perle cotton nose.  He also has a few horsehair whiskers.

"Zephyr"
has a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag.

"SNOW-BEAR"

"Snow-Bear" is not a snow-man, but a snow-bear!  He is 8" tall and was created from a recycled mink fur coat.  He has black shoebutton eyes, and a hand-embroidered black Perle cotton nose.  His head and arms are jointed.  He is weighted and stuffed with polyester fiberfill.

"Snow-Bear" wears a plaid flannel scarf around his neck, a black felt hat, and some fancy buttons down his front.  He sits on some artificial snow.

"Snow-Bear" comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag.
