Please visit all the Heir
Bears who came to this event just to meet
you! Some of them will be dressed up in their favorite outfit,
and some of them will just be themselves, with no frills, but ready to
enjoy the party.
About the Artist: I am Jane Woodard and I have been creating real fur bears
and other critters,
using recycled furs, since 1999. My fur bears are
heirloom quality, fully lined with a cotton fabric to stabilize and
reinforce the fur. They are created to ensure you can pass them on to
your children and grandchildren. Recently I have added some
faux fur and mohair bears to the den and they are all getting along just fine!
My bears have been featured in
articles in Teddy Bear Review (including the cover), Teddy Bear and Friends,
and Teddy Bear Times magazines.
One of my bears is also the proud winner of a 2016 URSA award.

"GEORGIE
& POOF"
"Georgie" is 19"
tall and was created from a brown and tan tipped faux fur. He is fully jointed and
firmly stuffed with polyester
fiberfill. He has dark brown suede paw pads that match the dark
brown under-fur, imported black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered
two-tone tan and dark brown Perle cotton nose.
"Poof" is Georgie's favorite toy
that he carries everywhere. He tends to
misplace him a lot though, so we named him
"Poof" ... one minute he's there and
the next he's gone! He is 7-1/2"
tall and was made with a sparse light tan mohair
fabric. He has matching light bown felt
paw pads, black glass bead eyes, and a
hand-embroidered black Perle cotton nose.
He is loosely jointed and stuffed with polyester
fiberfill and pellets. He wears a narrow
black ribbon tied in a bow around his neck.
"Georgie" comes with a
sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"WILEY"
Of course his name has to be "Wiley"
because this beautiful
bear was created from a recycled coyote fur
coat. He is
19"
tall , fully jointed and
firmly stuffed with polyester
fiberfill. His fur has many beautiful shades of light browns and
beiges, grays, gold, and a few black accents. He has matching
tan suede paw pads, imported
dark glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered
light brown Perle cotton nose.
"Wiley" wears a
simple dark green and black checkered ribbon
tied around his neck. He really doesn't
like to hide his best feature, his beautiful
natural fur. Coyote fur coats are not easy
to find, especially at a reasonable price, so
this bear is a rarity!
"Wiley" comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable
laminated hang tag.

"TIGGER"
"Tigger" is a bear who
thinks she should be a tiger because of all her
stripes. But alas, she is a 16" tall
bear created from a VERY unusual recycled mink
fur coat. The fur is made up of several
different shades of mink, cut in strips and sewn
together by a furrier to give this striped
effect. "Tigger" is
fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester
fiberfill. She has tan suede paw
pads, imported dark glass eyes, and a
hand-embroidered brown cotton nose. She

"BLUE-BEARY"
You've probably seen "Blue-Beary"
before, but wearing something red, white & blue
... very patriotic. Now he wants to
celebrate the arrival of Spring!
"Blue-Beary" is 15"
tall and was created from a VERY soft recycled
dark blue sheared beaver fur coat.
He is fully jointed and
firmly stuffed with polyester
fiberfill. He has matching blue suede paw pads, imported dark blue glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered
dark blue Perle cotton nose.

"JACQUES"
"Jacques" is a One-of-a-Kind large mohair
bear, dressed in antique clothes once worn by a
small child. He looks like he came from
a small town in Old World Europe, possibly
France. He is approximately 33" from head to toe, but
his legs are bent and he is designed to sit,
not stand. He has black glass eyes and a
hand-embroidered light brown Perle cotton nose.
He is firmly stuffed with about 4 pounds of
polyester fiberfill.
"Jacques" wears an antique cotton
shirt with embroidered shapes down the front, on
the collar and on the cuffs. There are a
few age spots on the shirt but they are mostly
hidden by being tucked into the shorts.
There are a few on the under part of the
sleeves.
His shorts are velvet and are buttoned to the
shirt. He also wears a straw hat with a
brown ribbon around it.
The only thing "Jacques" seems
to be missing is his wire hoop and stick for
rolling the hoop down the street. Instead, he
brings a vintage stuffed animal with him for
playtime.
"Jacques" comes with a removable
laminated hang tag.
