Heir Bears by Jane Woodard

Please visit all the Heir Bears who came to this event just to meet you!  Some of them will be dressed up in their favorite outfit, and some of them will just be themselves, with no frills, but ready to enjoy the party.

About the Artist:  I am Jane Woodard and I have been creating real fur bears and other critters, using recycled furs, since 1999.  My fur bears are heirloom quality, fully lined with a cotton fabric to stabilize and reinforce the fur.  They are created to ensure you can pass them on to your children and grandchildren.  Recently I have added some faux fur and mohair bears to the den and they are all getting along just fine!

My bears have been featured in articles in Teddy Bear Review (including the cover), Teddy Bear and Friends, and Teddy Bear Times magazines.  One of my bears is also the proud winner of a 2016 URSA award.

"MURPHY"

"Murphy" is 18" tall and was created from a recycled fur coat.  I'm really not sure what type of fur this is ... it happens every now and then that I am stumped!  The fur is various shades of brown with a slightly bluish cast to the undercoat.  He is ONE-OF-A-KIND.

"Murphy" is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  He has light tan suede paw pads, imported dark glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered dark brown Perle cotton nose.

"Murphy"  wears an iridescent blue and brown ribbon tied in a bow around his neck.  He has a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

Adoption Fee:  $225.00 plus shipping

"TREVOR"

"Trevor"  wears an antique white collar with a pearl stud.  He is an avid reader, carrying one of his favorite books from 1910.

"WITCH HELGA"

"Witch Helga" is a ONE-OF-A-KIND 13" bear created from a very dark, almost black, mink fur coat and orange Mongolian lamb fur.  She is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  Her arms are long and bent, probably from years of mixing magic potions and witch's brew in her caldron!

"Witch Helga" has black suede paw pads, and a hand-embroidered orange and black Perle cotton nose.  She has imported black glass eyes.  She is one of the few GOOD witches so instead of a black witch's hat, she wears a black spider web scarf in her hair.

"Witch Helga"  comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"COOKIES & CREAM"

Back by popular demand is one of my favorites, "Cookies & Cream",  who is a 16" bear created from a recycled fox fur coat.  This fur has splashes of chocolate brown throughout.  Because it is a luxury fur, these fur coats are not easy to find in our price range!!$$

"Cookies & Cream"  is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  She has chocolate brown suede paw pads and imported German glass eyes.

"Cookies & Cream"  wears a chocolate brown ribbon tied in a bow around her neck.  She comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

Adoption Fee: $250.00 plus shipping

"NAVY BEAR"

This very large bear is 24" tall and was created from a recycled mink paws fur coat.  He is a tribute to those men who served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

"Navy Bear" is fully jointed and firmly stuffed with A LOT of polyester fiberfill.  He has matching brown suede paw pads, imported glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose.

"Navy Bear" wears an authentic vintage WWII Navy shirt with a patch on the sleeve and the original decorative white braid trim.  His hat is the pancake style hat, also from the WWII era.  In keeping with the theme, he carries a 48-star flag that has some wear and tear to it, but still represents the U.S. prior to 1959 when we added Alaska and Hawaii to the union.

"Navy Bear" comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.

"AUTUMN"

This One-of-a-Kind, very cuddly bear is "Autumn", an 18" tall faux fur bear.  He is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill.  His thick fur has many beautiful shades of rust, gold, copper and beige with a few black accents, all the colors of autumn leaves in the Midwest.  He has matching suede paw pads, imported glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose.  Very soft and VERY cuddly

"Autumn" wears a narrow copper and gold ribbon tied in a bow around his neck.  He loves the cooler temperatures of the autumn season, and playing in the newly-raked leaves, so he hopes to find a new home away from the Florida heat!

"Autumn" comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable laminated hang tag.
